Yes, we're still here. We are trying to publish once a month and  in-between if City news arises, so check in frequently. It is not our intention to cover all breaking news of our town but rather to be a source of factual information and some opinion about our city government, local businesses and bits of interest to our residents.  Right now, we also print obituaries and death notices that are online or are sent in. Same with real estate sales and police activity.

    I really need some tech support as I am very limited in that area. If you know how to manage the Wix publishing program, I need someone to teach me that.

The Beacon will not have the funds to pay someone to publish for much longer. And we would like to be able to pay for some reporters to do interviews cover meetings and the like on a per piece basis.  Want to write about the town? Have a poem you would like to share? How about a book review or a story about an event you went to that was something you would like to tell folks about. Articles are always welcome. We have two good editors, and she helps with the writing too. Send them on in to susangoldbeck1@att.net.
